Car Parking

A large free car park is available. Coach parking is straightforward but we like to have prior notice, please.

Most of the garden is easily accessible by wheelchair, paths being either grass or hard gravel. It is also easy for a wheelchair to enter the barn, where there is warmth, shelter and comfortable seating. We regret we do not provide a disabled toilet.

We provide a make-your-own system in a small tea room, with tea/coffee and home-made cakes available. Prices vary. Visitors are welcome to picnic in the garden. The old stone barn offers a pleasant and comfortable seating area too, and, if the weather is cold or wet, a magnificent open log fire will cheer you up. Umbrellas are provided. All information about the garden and other local gardens is available here.

Plants for Sale

Plants propagated from material in the garden are for sale. I do not describe it as a nursery, but I try to have as many varieties as possible available.

You are welcome to bring your dogs but please keep them on a lead within the garden. They can run free on the Railway Bank or in the Marsh.

Two toilets are provided for the use of visitors to the garden.
